It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Erica Eileen Franks, who passed away in Barrie on July 22, 2026, at the age of 36.

Erica was a caring and loving person who cherished her family and friends deeply. She had a gentle heart and brought warmth and kindness to the people fortunate enough to know her. Her family was incredibly important to her, and she especially loved spending time with her niece, Maylee, and nephew, Jett. She treasured the special bond she shared with them and the memories they made together.

Erica found joy in the simple things that made her happy. She loved Lego and building little creations, as well as creating beautiful pieces with jewel art. She also had a love for Elvis and enjoyed the music that brought her happiness. Above all, Erica loved the people in her life and valued the friendships and family connections she had throughout her life.

Erica will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Maureen Franks; her father, James Franks; her sister, Nicole Lundberg; her beloved niece, Maylee Lundberg; and her nephew, Jett Lundberg, along with her extended family and many dear friends.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her caring nature, her love for those around her, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family and friends. Though her time with us was far too short, the love and memories she leaves behind will remain with those who knew and loved her.

Celebration of Life

Family and friends are invited to join together in remembering Erica on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Basic Funerals - Jennett Memorial Centre at 152 Bradford Street, Barrie.

The gathering will be a drop-in, come-and-go celebration, allowing everyone the opportunity to share memories, offer condolences, and spend time together in Erica’s memory.

In honour of Erica, those who knew and loved her are encouraged to remember the things that brought her joy, to cherish their loved ones, and to carry forward the kindness and love that she gave so freely.
