Elizabeth Ann Mercier

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Elizabeth Ann Mercier, ‘affectionately known as Bet’s’, surrounded by her family on Saturday March 23, 2024 at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 66. Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of John Mercier and the late Celia Mercier (2009). She was deeply loved by Steve and will greatly be missed by her fur baby, Beau. She also had a special place in her heart for all her fur babies who brought her comfort and companionship. She was a cherished sister to Marcia Siembida (Besh), Jamie Mercier (Anita), Patricia Mercier, Chip Mercier, and Pam Savord (late Graham). Predeceased by niece Amanda Savord and grandmother Margaret Dunn.

Elizabeth was a loving aunt and great aunt to Josh Siembida; Nikii Katic (Mark) Kasia & Zosia; Dylan Mercier (Ashley) Kai; Kyle Mercier; B.J. Mercier, Rhylan Wieteska; Jessica Mercier, Jenna & Millie Jakubiak; Ryan Mercier; Aaron Savord (Stacey) Grace & Ashley; Reilly Savord (Sarah) Aria; bringing joy and warmth to their lives.

She will be deeply missed by her special friend Flo who was like a sister to her always encouraging and supporting. Betty-Ann was so blessed to have Flo in her life. The family extends a special thank you to Flo for her support and compassion.

In loving memory of Betty Ann, so kind and true,
She cherished her family, fur babies, and the sky so blue.
With a heart full of love and a smile so bright,
She brought joy to all, like a guiding light.
With all her feistiness and might.

She loved giving birthday cards, each one with care,
A token of her love, a message so rare.
And talking on the phone, her voice so sweet,
A moment shared with her was always a treat.

Though she has departed, her spirit lives on,
In the memories we hold, in the love that has shone.
Betty Ann, you'll always be in our hearts,
In the laughter, the tears, and the cherished parts.

Rest in peace, dear Betty Ann, in heaven above,
Surrounded by angels, her mom and embraced by love.
Your legacy of kindness will forever stay,
In the hearts of those you loved, every day.

Though she may be physically gone, Elizabeth's spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and adored her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories she shared with her family and friends.

Cremation has taken place as per her wishes, and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember the beautiful soul that Elizabeth was. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
