In Loving Memory of Elie

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son in law, brother in law and Uncle, Elie, who passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 60.

He leaves behind his wife, the love of his life, Corrie, his cherished daughter, Taylor and her fiancé Nicholas Duchene, and his beloved son, Vincent. He will also be deeply missed by his loyal four-legged companions, Cooper and Cain, who brought him endless comfort and unconditional love.

Elie was larger than life. He was funny, loud, and wonderfully strong-headed—a man who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind and stood firmly by what he believed. His laughter was contagious, his stories unforgettable, and his presence could fill any room. Beneath his bold personality was an incredibly generous heart and a deep love for his family. He worked hard, believed that family always came first, and had a remarkable way of making those around him smile. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there, Elie made everyone feel loved and valued. His kindness, strength, and generosity touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared—the laughter around the table, the countless acts of love, and the strength and courage Elie showed throughout his life. His legacy is one of compassion, dedication, laughter, and unconditional love.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Elie’s life on July 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Barrhaven United Church, 3013 Jockvale Road, Ottawa, Ontario K2J 4E4.

My love, thank you for filling my life with laughter, strength, and unconditional love. You were my best friend and my forever love. I will miss you every day, and I will carry you in my heart until we are together again. Rest peacefully, my sweetheart. I love you always and forever.
