Edward Harold Jagt

After a long and hard fought battle with health issues, Ed passed away surrounded by his family, on Thursday, July 7th, 2022.

Ed Jagt of Barrie was in his 61st year. Beloved husband of the late Kathy. Loving father of Kevin, Amanda, Nicole (Brody), Amber (Adam), John, and the late Julie and Lori. Cherished Opa of Byanca, Owen, Chloe, Isabella, and soon-to-be Baby Warren.

Son of the late Jerry and Ann. Brother of Annette (Jeff). Dear uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Ed was a proud supporter of the community and team sponsor and he encouraged his children to play community sports. He was a car enthusiast with an adventurous appetite who loved to try new things.

Visitation will be held at Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices - Jennett Memorial Chapel, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie, on Tuesday July 12, 2022 from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm. A service will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at First Christian Reformed Church, 33 Shirley Avenue, Barrie, at 11am with interment to follow at Barrie Union Cemetery. A celebration and reception of Ed's life will be held at the Ferndale Banquet Hall, 24 Ferndale Industrial Dr, Barrie, from 1:30pm - 4:30pm on Wednesday as well. All are welcome.
