Edna May Young

Edna May Young, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 18, 2023, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories. Edna was predeceased by her husband Kenneth who she married in 1955 and who passed in 2018. Born on February 22, 1930, in London, England, Edna's kind and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends.

Edna was a devoted mother to her daughters Glenna (Ron) and Wendy (Alex), as well as her sons Brad (Becky) and Ian (Ailie), grandmother to Nicholas, Chris, Liam, James, Jackson, Hudson, Katie, Brandon, Owen, and Ava and proud great-grandmother to Mackenzie, Connor, and Malcolm. 

Edna was a strong willed and independent woman of elegance and grace who cared deeply for those she loved. She was a wonderful mother who had a lengthy career as an EA/Bookkeeper and enjoyed travelling the world with her soul mate Ken. She was a good golfer and had a lot of energy and enthusiasm for life. She was a classy lady who had great fashion sense. We will always remember her for her thoughtfulness and loving nature and she will be deeply missed. She was happiest enjoying a cup of tea and completing a puzzle.

A special thank you to the staff at Erin Mills Lodge for their care and compassion during her final years.

We will be having a private celebration of life.
