Earl Harry Emerson VANDERHART, of Brampton, Ontario passed away on April 1, 2023. He would have celebrated his 87th birthday on April 4th.

Earl was born to Harry and Margaret Vanderhart on April, 4, 1936 in Toronto Ontario. He was a talented all-around athlete growing up in the junction area of Toronto. Earl worked at Hamilton Gear for over 35 years as a machinist, methods analyst, excelling into management. In 1954 he married Helen Gruber and together they began nurturing a family. In 1969 they moved the Vanderhart family to Brampton, Ontario.

Earl is survived by his wife Helen and his seven children, Deborah, Louise, Charlotte, Harold, Todd, Donna, and Christina. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Earl was predeceased by his parents Harry and Margaret.

Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrestling, boxing, hockey, baseball, and golf. But most of all, he enjoyed being with his family. His shining sense of humour was admirable, always ready to tell a joke or several.

In his retirement years he played golf and horseshoes in the summer and he played Santa Clause at the shopping malls in the winter.

As per Earl’s wishes, there is no funeral planned. He chose to be cremated and have his ashes scattered in a place that is dear to his heart. There will be a small celebration of life for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada in Earl’s name.
