Earl Winston Churchill Daley

Earl Winston Churchill Daley, born on 16 September 1947 in Kingston Jamaica, passed away on November 1 2025 at Brampton Civic Hospital, days after having a major stroke. He was the son of the late George Daley and Pasco O’Meally.

Earl is survived by his sons, Paul, Troy, Oneil and daughter Alvarene and grandchildren Tyrell, Dyrrin, Brittney, Carter, Jase, Oshane, Kemar, Ackeem, Sash, Carlton and Carelle.

He started working as a silkscreen printer in his father’s company before joining the Jamaica Defence Force as a soldier in the Military Band where he played the Euphonium and was also the Drum Major. His highlight with the band was traveling to Canada to perform in the Canadian Military Tattoo. He immigrated to Canada in 1976 with his wife then, Claridene Shackleford and their boys Paul and Troy and with the assistance of close friends Paul and Marcia Gunter they made their home in Mississauga ON. Arriving in Canada on a work visa he worked as a silkscreen printer for many years then he worked in different fields, an account with H&R Block, a painter, driving instructor, employed as an in theatre movie critic in the GTA and promoting healthy living with his supplement business. He also lived and worked in the US for about 10 years.

Earl was a Deacon and member of the Solomon Ministry (Showers of Blessing Ministries). He enjoyed leading prays during service, reading scripture and assisting with Bible studies. He also served on the church board assisting with financial decisions. Earl’s passion was playing Dominos and he enjoyed fishing painting and assembling jigsaw puzzles. He will be remembered for his deep-rooted faith and his ability to make others smile and laugh.

Funeral service for Earl will be held at St. Johns Dixie, 737 Dundas St. East Mississagua, ON L4Y 2B5 on Thursday November 6 with visitation at 11 AM, service at 12 PM followed by his interment at Glenview Memorial Gardens 7541 Hwy 50 Woodbridge, ON L4H 4W7.
