Never ever forgotten:
Tom & Debbie Logan and Family wish to announce the death of Dorothy Elizabeth Vidal (McCooeye) of Metcalfe, Ontario. Dorothy died peacefully on December 15 with Tom and in the arms of Debbie at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 82.
Preceded in death by her late husband of 55 years, Peter J. Vidal and sister Evelyn Ritchie. Dorothy leaves behind her sister, Ena Malloy.
Dorothy will be dearly missed and remembered by daughter, Debbie and her husband, Tom Logan. Her beloved grandchildren Christina Mascitti (Michael), Andrew Logan (Amanda), Daniel Logan (Michaela), Michael Logan (Jasmine) will forever treasure the memory of their Grannie.
Her treasured seven Great -Grandchildren Elizabeth Mascitti, Avery Logan, Aria Logan, Waylon Logan, Maccoy Logan, Lily Logan, and Rosie Logan will hold her in their hearts.
Dorothy will be missed by friends from Nipigon, Milwaukee, Indiana and Sniders Campground, dear friend Bonnie Scooter, many loved friends, siblings-in-law and by many nieces and nephews.
Tom and Debbie Logan Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Trahan of Russell, Todd & Lisa of Metcalfe Pharmacy , and the Care Team of the Ottawa General Hospital.
An additional heartfelt thank you to Veronique and Sandra for ensuring Dorothy's end of life care wishes were honored. "You helped us at our most vulnerable to ensure Dorothy's Dying with Dignity requests were upheld with empathy and grace."
In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation to the Osgoode Township Care Center, where Dorothy worked for more than 25 years and where her parents (Walter and Elizabeth McCooeye) received care.
"Time is a gift. Family is a treasure. Here's to loving hard and laughing harder. Rest peacefully now, Dear Grannie. We've got the good stuff from here."
