Doris Gray Mugford

Doris (Dolly) Gray Mugford (nee MacKay), 84 of Toronto has gone onto Glory and to be with our Lord and Saviour for Eternity on May 12, 2018 in the City of Barrie ON. After a long and very brave fight with a rare neuropathic disease, she succumbed to the illness in her home. Dolly was an incredible singer with a voice of an Angel.  She sang in Mexico and the U.S. mostly gospel the Word of God for decades.  She highlighted on 100 Huntley Street and Peoples Church in Toronto. She lived her life according to the Word of God. Her soft voice was comforting to her children, grand and greats. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 2nd, 2018 at 1pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie, ON. Doris was born to parents Margaret and Donald MacKay in Toronto on November 3, 1933. Doris was married to Ross Harold Mugford for 39 years before he passed in 1991. Doris is pre-deceased to her precious grandchildren Gloria and Brennan Mugford and to her 5 siblings George MacKay (k.i.a. RCAF 1943) Pearl MacKay, Douglas (Mickey) MacKay (RCN), Sam MacKay and Donny MacKay. Doris (Mom and Nan) will be sadly missed by her 4 children Wayne, Danny, Gregory (Kim) and Laura (Larry). Also by her grandchildren Cameron (Courtney), Erin (Richard), Laura Joy, Shaun (Kieran), Ryan (Mellissa), Matthew (Tami). Nanny will be greatly missed by her many great grandchildren which she was so proud of.  Brennan, Aiden, Avery, Nathaniel, Cailynn, Teagan, Adam, Tanner, Isabella, Sofiya, Wyatt, Amelia, Xavier and Ashleigh. Donations can be made to the Hospital for Sick kids and Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto ON. A special thanks to all her healthcare providers for all the patience, love and guidance through the years. -For all you gave the family, for the thoughtfulness you’ve shown.  You are loved much more than you ever could have known.  For the warm and tender memories, for the love you expressed, we wish you Eternal Life with Our Lord.   Till we meet again.-
