In remembrance of Diane Balys (Radley), who departed this world on November 12, 2023. Born on February 18, 1942, Diane was the beloved wife of Henry Balys and the loving mother of Jeff Balys, Theresa Bertuzzi (Danny), and Richard Balys (Cindy). Diane will also be missed by her brothers and sisters, as well as her many friends.
Diane’s heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Bryson, Benny, Talor, Jacob, and Michaela, who were the lights of her life. She now joins her parents, beloved sister Carol, and other departed loved ones in heaven.
Diane began her professional journey as a teacher. She then went back to school, while raising her family, to get her diploma in Computer Science, which she used during her career at Canada Post. In retirement, her passion for community service shone through her involvement with the Lions Club, the church, and her cherished Red Hats. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered.
A fervent traveler and adventurer, Diane’s infectious spirit encouraged everyone to seize the moment and savor life’s joys. As her health declined, she faced adversity with unmatched strength and bravery, earning her the title of our superhero.
As we say our goodbyes, the broken hearts she leaves behind stand testament to the profound impact of her love. May she find eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth and joy she brought to the world.
Thank you to the whole team at the Court of Barrhaven for loving and caring for Diane and her entire team of medical professionals who worked hard to keep her with us as long as possible. Special thanks to Rev. Ed Gratton for all of his support.
