Of Rockland Ontario, passed away on Thursday March 19, 2026, at the age of 71. He had a difficult battle with COPD and emphysema and is finally at rest. He was born in Yukon and raised in British Colombia. He moved to Rockland in the 80's where he met his beloved wife of 41 years, Gisèle Ranger née Chartrand. He deeply loved his wife, children and 2 dogs Lily and Maggie, who have been by his side throughout his battle. He will be forever loved and remembered. He was the son of the late Clairette Huot and late Jean-Claude Ranger. He is survived by his 3 children, Sebastien (Julie Peplinskie), Benoit (Julie Rondeau) and Karine (Angele Mineault) and his grandchild, Conrad Ranger. He was the brother of Lucie (Robert), Lise (Serge), David (Renata) and Michele (Gerhard). He will be deeply missed by his aunt, Raymonde, and uncle, Lucien, who have played a big role in his life. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, late Irène Gareau, and his brothers, the late Marc and the late Ronald.

The family would like to thank the staff from Ontario Health at Home, who provided great home care, as well as the staff on unit 5, from the General Hospital, who provided excellent care and compassion.

Donations to the Canadian Lung Association may be made in memory of Mr. Ranger.

There will be a Celebration of life scheduled at a later date.
