Denis Pierre Lalumiere

Peacefully, with his family by his side, Denis Pierre Lalumiere passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 81. Known fondly as Pete, Dad, Pops, and Grandpa, he was the beloved youngest of seven siblings.

Pete was the devoted husband of Ann Margaret (Markwick) for 62 loving years. He will be deeply missed by his wife Ann, and by his children Karen (Paul), Craig (Pam), and Colin (Jennifer). Cherished grandfather of Evan, Hazel, Olivia, and Jessica, he is predeceased by his grandson Liam. Pete is also survived by two of his siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by Ann’s surviving siblings and their families.

A proud member of RCEME in the Canadian Armed Forces, Pete served his country with honor. He was also a long-time volunteer firefighter in Constance Bay, where he gave many years of dedicated service to his community.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Arnprior Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Pete’s final days.

In keeping with Pete’s wishes, a private family service will be held. For those who wish to honor his memory, donations to the Arnprior Hospital, 350 John Street North, Arnprior, ON K7S 2P6, would be greatly appreciated.
