Dede Vogel

With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Dede Vogel, who left us on October 28, 2025, at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital in Winchester, Ontario, at the age of 73.

Born on July 3, 1952, in the Netherlands she immigrated to Canada with her parents and older sister in 1953. She built a fulfilling career as a hairdresser in Ottawa, Metcalfe and eventually in Winchester, touching the lives of many with her warmth and skill. Dede faced her health challenges with courage and grace. Last year she was diagnosed with lung cancer and showed that she was a “strong Dutch woman”. She fought hard until she could fight no more.

Beloved mother of Bryan St. Amand and cherished sister of Theresa (Terry Kelly), James, Sandy (Dan Peladeau) and Sebe (Carole). Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as numerous friends and extended family.

Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the friends and neighbours who supported Dede in her final months.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
