Deborah Ann Paine

In her 72nd year, Deb passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Toronto, ON, on October 2nd, 1952.

Loving wife of Richard Paine. Dear mother of Jason Paine (Lisa Williams) and Tim Paine (Jesse).

Predeceased by her parents Patricia & Robert Brown, and her sister Denise Baker (Paul). Daughter-in-law of the late Barbara and Samuel Paine. Sister-in-law of the late Robert and David Paine. Aunt to Danielle & Craig Baker, great aunt to Jasmine. Will be missed by her niece Jennifer Spyropoulos (Dimitri) and their children, John, Sam and Iris. Will also be missed by her niece Monica Paine and her son Daniel.

Deb loved the outdoors. Whether on a dock or in the garden, if the sun was shining you would find Deb with a smile on her face. Above all, Deb loved her family, nothing was more important than spending time with Rich and her boys in the backyard or around the dinner table. There was a lot of love in their home.
Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2008, we were lucky to have one final family trip to Killarney Ontario, where we enjoyed the great north together.

Deb’s celebration of life will be held at the family home at a later date (TBA). All family and friends are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Special thanks to the incredible team of caregivers Deb had around her. Irene, Nidia, Kareen, Maria, Rosa, Dion, the late Lori (and others over the years), your care and laughter during these difficult times kept Deb going. Your empathy and compassion towards both Deb and Rich was a huge comfort.
