Dean Larry Riviere

Dean Larry Riviere passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on September 12, 2025, at the age of 66.

Born in Cornwall on January 4, 1959, Dean was the eldest son of the late Larry Riviere and late Dora Riviere (Leroux). He is survived by his daughter Marissa Riviere (Mitch) and his wife, Trudy Riviere (Alguire).

Dean is also remembered by his siblings: the late Jay Riviere (Mary), Todd Riviere (Diane), Kelly Riviere (Rob), and Holly Windle (Ryan).

A longstanding employee of Domtar, Dean had a passion for music, cooking, and a good beer. He was rarely found without music playing and enjoyed challenging others to name the artist before launching into a story from his younger years playing in bands or his time on the road as a truck driver. Known for his sense of humour, he never passed up the chance to share a joke—good or bad—and had a story for every occasion.

As per Dean’s wishes, there will be no service or celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society
