It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Davis Donat Biron, of Luskville, Quebec, who passed away peacefully in Wakefield, Quebec, on May 25, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by his daughter, granddaughter, and son-in-law.
Born in Hull, Quebec, on May 6, 1949, Davis spent the majority of his career as a dedicated OC Transpo bus driver for the City of Ottawa. Known for his mechanical mind and hardworking nature, he was always fixing, building, or tinkering with something. He had a deep appreciation for nature and especially loved deer, quiet moments outdoors, and watching National Geographic documentaries. He also enjoyed playing cards and chess.
Faith was an important part of Davis’s life. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he remained steadfast in his beliefs until the very end, facing his final days with courage and conviction.
He is survived by his wife, Lise Côté; his daughters, Samantha Lee Biron (Andrew Yerxa) and Robin Melissa Biron; and his beloved grandchildren, Ashiah Searle and Malik Biron.
Davis will be cremated and laid to rest with family and friends at Notre-Dame Cemetery in Ottawa. Details regarding the interment will be announced at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at La Maison des Collines in Wakefield who provided compassionate care during his final days. We are also deeply grateful to the many family members and friends who visited, supported, and comforted Davis throughout his illness. In particular, we would like to acknowledge his supportive sister, Joann; his spiritual brothers, Jethro, Denis, and René; his stepbrothers, Rhéal and Yvan; his nephews, Alain and Daniel; and his dear friends, Bob, Steve, and Gunther. Your friendship, kindness, support, and presence meant a great deal to Davis and to our family.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his headstrong nature, his love of breakfast food and donuts, Ford trucks and four-wheelers, his ability to fix just about anything, and his love of westerns, sci-fi, and the natural world.
