David Allen Craig

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Craig, who left us on his own terms on Sunday, October 26, 2025, after a long and difficult battle with mental illness.

David was a man of great talent, spirit, and determination. A skilled carpenter and an all-around craftsman, there was little he couldn’t build, fix, or figure out once he set his mind to it. He found joy in the outdoors — hunting, fishing, dirt biking, or anything that had an engine and a touch of adventure.

Born to the late Allen and Jean Craig, and Brother to the late Diane Craig, David’s life was filled with moments of laughter, and hard work. Those who knew him will remember the man before the illness — the one with a quick grin, a mechanical mind, and a heart that loved his family deeply in his own quiet way.

David will be lovingly remembered by his children Nolan (Ashley), Colton (Lexi), and KaraLee, and his cherished Grandchildren Leni, Eddy, Jean, and Violet — each of whom brought him joy and pride.

Later in life David connected with his biological Mother Dorothey and her husband John McMillan as well as David’s two brothers Wally and Scott. David was happy to find out where the red hair came from. He was very grateful to be invited into their home and enjoyed their kindness and company.

A celebration of life will be held for David at 2240 Craig’s Side Road(Carp Mess Hall) from 1-4 on November 23. Keep David in your thoughts when doing the things he loved construction, being outdoors, and burn outs.
