It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of David Blackwood, born October 15, 1953, died March 4, 2023, at the age of 69.
He leaves behind his loving mother Betty Blackwood, children Simon (Helen), Oliver (Sarah), Miles (Pirapa) and Taylor Blackwood, brother Thomas (Bonita) Blackwood and sister Linda (Dennis) Blackwood. His grandchildren William, James, Theodore and Maya affectionately called him Big Grandad. Pre-deceased by his father Thomas Blackwood, and brothers Steven (Kim), Roger (Christine) and Robert (Bob)(Cathy) Blackwood.
David, born in Toronto, lived in Dufferin County, Newmarket and Barrie. Always available for a chat and ready with a joke, big in life with a big heart.
At David's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donation to CAMH in David's memory would be appreciated by the family.
