David (Dave) Brian Belanger

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Belanger after a long and brave battle with a neurodegenerative illness. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jill Belanger, with whom he shared 34 wonderful years of marriage. Devoted father of Catherine (Robert Childers), of Orleans. Loving brother of Stephen (Monica) and Bernard (Ursula). Predeceased by his parents Amy & Clifford Belanger, brothers Jeffrey, Paul and sister Christine (Stephen). Loving brother-in-law of Gaye Durocher. Well loved by many nieces and nephews.

Dave was a remarkable man who loved life, people, and pets (Riggs & Quinn). An exceptionally kind man who would help anyone at anytime. Lifetime blood donor (231 times). He especially enjoyed nature, cycling, and spending time outside.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jodi Warman Chardon & Dr. Tiego Mestre of the Ottawa Hospital (his neurological team), and to the exceptional care staff of Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Home (notably Lucy, Joan, Michelle, Ray, Hillary & rec staff). Special thanks to Penny Seary for her friendship, care, and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8 from 1-4pm at TapRoom260, 260 Centrum Blvd, Orleans, ON, K1E 3P4.
