Darlene Frances O'Rourke Depatie, born in Toronto, Ontario, on August 26, 1958, and passed away on April 25, 2025, in Cornwall, Ontario at the age of 66 at 8:35 a.m. at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Since the age of 8 years old Darlene devoted much of her life to the Salvation Army. She later went on to volunteer for the Salvation Army and helped the community for most of her adult life while still attending Sunday services. Darlene loved camping, traveling, singing and dancing to country music and oldies.
Darlene leaves behind her husband, Larry Depatie and Darlene's children: Albert (Lori), Lisa (Curry), Crystal (Steven) and Charlie (Melanie). Larry's children Shawn, Jennyfer, Jessica, Mary and Larry Jr. Survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her loving siblings, Steven, Mary, Mary Ann, Sandra, and Sharon, also survive her and her best friend Lucy. Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Joan Claudet Bigras O'Rourke and Frank Gordon O'Rourke, as well as her friend Ken Brownlee and Roger Snow from a previous marriage. Darlene will be greatly missed by so many.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 1 PM to 2 PM at Hope Cemetery Chapel, located at 4660 Bank Street in Gloucester, Ontario. A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, May 10, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Moose Lodge in Cornwall. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
