Colleen Houle (nee McQuaid) 1934 – 2019
After a brief illness, Colleen passed into God’s hands peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved mother to Gregory (Marie Josée), Jo-Anne, Mark (Marie) and devoted grandmother to Ktrisha (Stéphane), Jennifer, Mark (Patricia), Roxane (Evan), Stéphanie (Nathan), Tina (Simon), Linda (Mathieu), Benoit, Carole-Anne, Samuel and 15 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers Patrick (Peggy) and Gary. Predeceased by her brothers, Brian (late Gail Lafrance), Wayne and sister Maureen. Our special thanks to Drs. Mulligan and Kovacs, and most especially Myriam and Tanya of the nursing staff in the ICU at the Montfort Hospital for their compassionate and respectful care of our mother in her last week. Your kindness to our family will never be forgotten. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Assumption Church, 320 Olmstead Street, Ottawa, ON, K1L 7K3 on Saturday, March 9th at 11AM. Reception to follow in the basement of Assumption Church. The family will be on hand as of 10:30AM to accept condolences.
