It is with deep sadness, yet with faith in God’s promise of eternal life, that we announce the passing of Clayton Patrick “Paddy” Warren, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 87.
Born on April 10, 1938, in Newfoundland, Clayton lived a full and dedicated life marked by service, discipline, compassion, and a steadfast Christian faith. At the age of 18, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces, serving proudly in the Armoured Corps. He later became a physical training instructor, where he inspired and mentored countless individuals throughout his military career. His service took him across Canada and abroad, including postings in Gagetown, Borden, Lahr, Cyprus, and Vancouver Island.
Clayton was an exceptional athlete who excelled in many sports, particularly hockey, soccer, and baseball. He also took great joy in coaching his children in swimming and on their hockey and soccer teams. His competitive spirit and love of physical activity remained a defining part of his character throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his siblings Peter, Gwennie, Johnny, Jimmy, and Danny. Clayton will be lovingly remembered by his brother Larry, his devoted wife Marilyn, and his children Clayton Jr. and Leana. He will be remembered most as a loving husband, father, and a man of quiet strength, generosity, and enduring faith.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Grove Park Home for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Clayton during his time there.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Clayton’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army Bayside Mission Centre.
