Obituary

Gary (Clarke) Owen passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at the age of 72.

Gary lived life with a spirit that refused to grow old. His personal motto, “forever young,” perfectly captured the way he moved through the world—with energy, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

Music was at the center of Gary’s life. It wasn’t just something he listened to; it was something he lived. With a love that spanned countless genres and artists, music was almost a religion to him—shaping his days and fueling his passion for life.

Gary brought that same intensity to his work. Known for his exceptional work ethic and unwavering commitment, he took great pride in doing every job well and giving his best in all he pursued.

He found joy in the freedom of the open road, whether behind the wheel of his beloved red Audi TTS or riding his motorcycle—both of which reflected his adventurous spirit.

Above all, Gary will be remembered for his loyalty and the depth of his relationships. He was a devoted brother, a proud and loving uncle, and a steadfast friend. He cherished time spent sharing a pint with friends at Liam McGuire’s on St. Laurent Blvd, where he formed valuable friendships. Those who knew Gary knew they could always count on him.

Gary is lovingly remembered by his sisters: Lorraine (predeceased David), Nancy Stewart (Rick), and Lynne Bullock (Steve). He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews: Amanda (Raf Bartosiak), Melissa Stewart, Katie (Jake Dias), Jennifer Wood, Lisa (Chris Heidinger), Courtney (Chris Fagan)and Kayla Bullock (Tim Hoover).

He was a proud great-uncle to Lucas, Callie, Ryan, Joshua, Olivia, Katelyn Heidinger, Jack and Tyler Hepworth, and Skylar, Liam, and Colton.

Gary was also cherished by Marie and Nick Noreau who considered him family. He was Uncle Gary to Gabrielle, Xavier, Felix, and Maxime, who knew him as their biggest fan and most steadfast supporter.

Gary’s vibrant spirit, quick wit, and enduring love of life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His “forever young” attitude will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
