Christy Lee Wright (nee Sitch) graced this world on May 19, 1976, and left a lasting impact until she shockingly passed away on May 24, 2024. Daughter of Jeannie, sister to Ronald Junior, predeceased by father Ronald Senior.
Christy was a beloved wife, mother, and friend to many.
A previous notice of death was published, Shawn and Summer wished to wait until Christy was repatriated to publish her obituary.
Christy's journey through life was marked by her vibrant and bubbly personality. She had a contagious laughter that easily drew people towards her, making friends wherever she went. Her love of connecting with others was evident as she strolled around with her iced coffee, engaging in conversations with neighbors and friends. Christy's passion for Blue Jays baseball was unmatched; she found joy in supporting her favorite team and sharing that enthusiasm with those around her, which often included yelling at the tv in both frustration and excitement.
Christy attended Whitefish Public School, Churchill High School, and spent a year at Confederation College. Christy found solace in fishing and camping with her family, cherishing moments spent under the open sky. Riding on the motorcycle with her husband Shawn brought immense joy to her heart, adding thrill to their journeys together. Her curiosity led her to explore new horizons through travel experiences that enriched her soul. Unfortunately Christy's health prohibited her from enjoying these things as much as she would have liked, but always found a way to bring joy to her life and the lives around her.
Family held a special place in Christy's heart. She leaves behind the love of her life Shawn, their daughter Summer, their four cats who were Christy's babies, and adoring nieces and nephews. Christy's circle of friends extended far and wide; she touched many lives across the globe with her warm spirit and genuine affection. To know Christy was to be loved by her unconditionally; if she was in communication with you, she valued every connection deeply.
Christy's final days were filled with serenity as she spent them in a place that brought her utmost joy - by the ocean shores. It was a dream come true for Christy to dip her toes in the ocean after a decade; the happiness radiating from within captured the essence of a life beautifully lived.
In honoring Christy Lee Wright’s memory, let us carry forward the kindness and love she shared abundantly during her time among us. May we find solace in knowing that her laughter echoes in our hearts forever.
