Christopher Mark Nickerson

Born December 27th, 1962, in Ottawa, Ontario, loving father to Timothy James and Samantha Rose, husband to Karen Lee (nee Chard), father-in-law to Shannon (nee Milling) and Jonathon Parks.

Chris passed away peacefully surrounded by family and dearest friends on July 16th, 2025, at age 62 in Ottawa, after a brave battle with cancer. Chris is survived by his wife and children as well as his brothers, Rodger, Doug, Scott and Shawn and the nephews and nieces he adored, Tara, Amy, Brittany, Shannon, Jessica, Sarah, Mike, Michael and Hunter.

Chris is predeceased by his mother Colleen Anne Nickerson (nee Muir),

Father Warren Edgar Nickerson and stepfather Gordon Jodoin.

As a young adult, Chris began a career in construction and returned to school in his 30’s to start a new and long career in Information Technology most notably building security solutions for Bell Canada before launching as a successful independent consultant in cybersecurity.

In lieu of a service and in keeping with his immense generosity, Chris has asked for donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and to The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Program.
