It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ching-Hsiung Lin, also known as "Ba," "Daddy," "Agong," and "Lin Si-Fu", on Monday - August 3, 2026. He passed away peacefully at The Ottawa Hospital – General Campus, surrounded by his wife and loved ones. He was 70 years old.

Ching-Hsiung is survived by his beloved wife, Tsui-Hwa Lin. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Ya-Wen Lin-Cardinal, and his son, Li-Fong Lin, and a caring father-in-law to Léo Cardinal. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being Agong to his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Noah, and Luca Cardinal, and Siera and Luna Lin.

With courage and determination, Ching-Hsiung left his birth country of Taiwan to build a new life in Canada. After establishing himself in Ottawa, his wife and children joined him, and together they built a loving home and a life rooted in hard work, perseverance, and family.

He loved to work and dedicated the majority of his life to preparing delicious meals that others could enjoy. In his limited spare time, he liked to fish, talk about cars, and spend time with his wife.

Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years, the memories, and the unconditional love he gave us. His kindness, resilience, and devotion to his family will remain with us always. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
