Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles (Chuck) Kennedy of Mississauga shares that he has passed away peacefully, from heart failure, at Mississauga Trillium Hospital on Sept 9 2026 at the age of 76.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Kennedy (nee McCallum), his children Neil (Heather) Kennedy, Adam (Melanie) Kennedy and Shannon (Dave) Boyd and his cherished grandchildren Aiden, Austin, London, Brooklyn, Alexia and Thorin.

He was pre-deceased by his parents Charles and Kathleen (Kay) Kennedy and his sister Lynda (Kennedy) Liversage.

Chuck worked many years within the health industry. First as an ambulance attendant/paramedic with The Ministry of Health at Peel-York District Ambulance Service and eventually with Ornge Air Ambulance as a dispatcher. He was proud of his work as a union steward as well. Having a good argument was right up his alley.

He enjoyed all get togethers that The McCallum Clan (as we call ourselves) would host and everyone always had a good time.

He loved to entertain and over the years we have hosted numerous company parties and friends and relatives at our home with lots of laughs and beverages.

The past few years have been a struggle for Chuck medically. He endured many health issues and that left him feeling sad that he could no longer entertain as we used to.

We wish to thank the Staff at Trillium Hospital and West Park Reactivation Centre for their care and kindness. Also thanks go to all his medical providers over the years.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sat. Oct 24 from 1-4.30 at the Port Credit Legion 32 Front St N in Mississauga.
