Celia Louise Clarke

Celia Louise Clarke - Passed unexpectedly on January 21, 2018 in Barrie, Ontario in her 74th year with her daughter at her side. Best friend, wife, mother, Nana, retired teacher, voracious book gobbler, music lover, Scrabble player and all around lovely soul with the best sense of humour. She is predeceased by her soul mate and husband Michael Clarke, her father Charles Lindenburn and her mother Louise. Survived and achingly missed by her daughter, Sarah Payne (Clarke), and her much-adored grandchildren, Aedan and Emily Payne of Barrie, her brother Andrew Lindenburn, sister-in-law Pauline and nephews William and Thomas of Surrey, U.K., Great Uncle Ken Perkins of North Devon, U.K., cousin Anthea and her husband Rex Hinton, their children Karen and Joanne of Reading, U.K., and cousins Ian and Lesley Ramsey and their children Amy, Megan and Carly of Bristol, U.K. Sorely missed by Gabriel McKay of Nipawin, Saskatchewan and many students whose lives she touched while teaching at the First Nation of Red Earth, Saskatchewan and across Canada.Special thanks to the kind and compassionate medical staff at RVH. A celebration of her exceptional life will be held in Barrie in early summer 2018. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the JENNETT FUNERAL and CREMATION CENTRE 152 Bradford Street Barrie. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a memorial tree planting organization like www.alivingtribute.ca or environmental improvement organization of your choice would be something she and the family would very much appreciate.
