With heavy hearts and infinite tears of sorrow, we announce the passing of Cathy Marshall at the age of 63. Cathy was born on June 12, 1963, and gained her wings on July 15, 2026. She left this world just as she lived her life—"her way"—surrounded by the deep love of those closest to her.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Howard Marshall; her children, Joan Marshall (Kyle), Julie Marshall, Adam Marshall, Mathew Marshall (Sydney), and Taylor Marshall; her grandchildren, Tyler, Hailey, Katlyn, Emma, Addison, Alexis, Rachael, Amelia, and Lincoln; and her siblings, Debbie, Glen, Tim, Cindy (Ken), and Scott (Tammy), as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She is joined in eternal rest by her parents, Wesley and Helen Carr, and her brothers, Allen Carr and Brian Carr, grandson baby Marshall along with many other loved ones who went before her.
With a family built on both blood ties and chosen bonds, Cathy’s reach was as vast as it was deep, and she was cherished by so many. Blessed with a genuine heart of gold, she always put others first. Her exceptional warmth transformed friends into lifelong family and made countless children proud to call her their grandma.
Cathy and Howard were truly inseparable, and their 45 years of marriage walked hand-in-hand was an inspiration to all. Together, they raised their beautiful family, worked side-by-side at Canada Post, and bravely navigated Cathy's health challenges. Their devotion was the ultimate cornerstone of their family—an unwavering partnership built on profound love, mutual respect, and a deep, enduring friendship.
Incredibly creative, Cathy found joy in scrapbooking, painting, and sewing. She especially cherished sharing these passions with her grandchildren, spending hours creating special projects together. Cathy made every occasion extra special, famously showing up to family dinners with a plethora of thoughtful treat bags and homemade gifts.
Cathy leaves behind a lasting legacy of unyielding kindness and boundless generosity. Even when she had little to spare, she never stopped giving to those in need, continuously prioritizing the comfort and care of her loved ones far above her own health and pain.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” — Winnie the Pooh
