Carolyn Anne Black

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Carolyn Anne Black (nee Lockhart) announce her passing on August 7, 2023, at the age of 85 following a brief battle with Cancer. Reunited with her loving husband Peter, parents Dorothy & Burton, and sisters Anita (Frank), and Linda (Gerry). Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Colleen, Darlene (John) and Diane, brother Donald (Anne), grandchildren Michelle (Brad), Amanda (Greg), Stephanie (Tommy), Paige, Shannen, Taylor, Kris, Michael and her great grandchildren Everleigh, Willow, Lucas, and her cousins, nieces, nephews and her many special friends that reached out in her final months.

Carolyn loved life, with a special sense of humour, even at her worst moment in the final days of life, she kept us laughing. “Fooled Ya” were her last words. She was loved by so many family, and friends. She was a great listener and had a hug for everyone.

The family would like to thank Bayshore Doctors and Nurses, and St. Elizabeth PSW’s who came in everyday to help us during her final months. You all deserve a place in heaven with the care you provided.

Honouring Carolyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Aug 20, 2023, from 2 to 6 pm at Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices Jennett Memorial Centre – 152 Bradford St. Barrie, ON L4N3B5.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to the Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
