It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Caroline Vera Mrnavy at the age of 56. Caroline leaves behind her beloved daughter, Kaitlyn, who was the light of her life and her proudest achievement. She is survived by her loving mother Susan (Ryner), brother Peter, and was predeceased by her father, Peter Pavel Mrnavy in 1999 — a loss she carried with her always. Caroline shared a close bond with ex-husband Mike, and together they raised Kaitlyn with love and support.
Caroline was a gentle, kind-hearted soul whose warmth touched everyone she met. Known for her impeccable taste, artistic flair, infectious laugh, and quiet strength; she had a special way of making others feel seen, heard, and cared for. She was a devoted and hardworking woman with an unwavering work ethic — admired not only for her dedication, but for the warmth and compassion she brought to every task she undertook. Caroline will be remembered by a large and devoted circle of friends — many of whom have walked alongside her since high school, and many more she touched through her work over the years.
Caroline lived with humility and grace, never seeking the spotlight, but always shining in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, her mother, her friends, extended family, and all those whose lives were brightened by her presence. Friends and family will gather at Humphrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25th between 1-2 pm, with a service in celebration of her life beginning at 2pm. There will be a reception immediately following the service to share stories and memories of Caroline. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
