Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolene Janet Black, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and unconditional love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Family was the center of her world. She was the epitome of love, acceptance, and compassion, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her family and friends held a special place in her heart, and in return, she held a special place in theirs. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and countless cherished memories.

She was predeceased by her parents, Allistar and Emily, her sister Eleanor, and her beloved granddaughter, Lindsay Eberhardt, who passed away in 2017 following a lifelong battle with infection and rejection after receiving two liver transplants.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ronald and his children Rylee, MJ, and Vincent; her daughter Christine; granddaughter Olivia (Yarolkis) and great-grandchildren Izzy and Ashly; grandson Steven (Felicia) and great-grandchildren Justin and Lucas; grandson Kyle and great-grandson Grayson; and granddaughters Jaylin, Yana, and Dylan.

She also leaves behind special family members Carole, Steve, and Liam, along with her cherished grand fur-babies, Akala, Thor, Nitro, and Gypsy, all of whom brought her immense joy.

One of her most treasured recent adventures was travelling through Europe and embarking on a Mediterranean cruise with her daughter Christine, daughter-in-law Carole, and Carole's mother-in-law, Raymonde. During that journey, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting Tuscany, proudly crossing it off her bucket list and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Her life was defined by the love she gave so freely to others. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
