Carole Suzanne Barbier (Bissonnette)

In loving memory of

Carole Suzanne Barbier (Bissonnette) born in Ottawa, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024 at the age of 71 years old after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carole is survived by her husband, Richard Barbier, two children, Jean (Julie Gauthier) and Danielle. Sister to Michel Bissonnette (Anita), Diane Paquette (Danny), Helene Lacroix (Aurele), Robert Bissonnette (Shirley) and a cousin that was like a sister Monique Leduc. She cherished her role as a grandmother to her grandchildren, Gabrielle and Logan von Teichman and Viviane Barbier who brought her immense joy and pride.

Carole's warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives she enriched with her spirit and love. She showed us what perseverance truly looks like. There was no quit in her.

The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors from the Orleans Palliative Care and the amazing nurses from their Carefor unit of the Home and Community Care Support Services, especially her nurse Lynn, the nurses and doctors at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus on Smyth Road for taking such good care of Carole.

In loving memory of Carole, who bravely battled ovarian cancer, we invite family and friends to honour her legacy by supporting the Ovarian Cancer Foundation https://ovariancanada.org/ways-to-give.
