On Friday June 19, 2026 God called a great man Carlo Rita as one of his angels. While basking in the sun surrounded by his loving wife Mary and two sons Jason (Lilliana) and Justin (Gabriella) and his little cherubs Matteo, Mia and Remi. Listening to his favorite music. His family and friends enjoyed his last day full of love, laughter and joy while sharing memories, hugs and tears. Carlo asked his wife for one last dance just before his time came to an end. 

He touched so many lives over the years between his family, his friends and the many hockey teams he coached over many years. He had an infectious personality that people gravitated toward. His big personality could never be missed when he entered a room. He did so much good through out his life, and so many people were lucky enough to be a part of it. He will be dearly missed, but he will never be forgotten. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Martyrs of Japan Parish, 167 Essa Street, Bradford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids Foundation in memory of Carlo.
