Cameron Wayne Littlejohn                  February 21, 2008 – September 2, 2026

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our son and brother, Cameron, at home in Ottawa on September 2, 2026, at the age of eighteen.

Since Cameron was born, he was always curious, imaginative and sensitive. He wanted to know how everything worked, and once he knew, he wanted to explain it to someone — usually his little sister, Isla. When he was in Grade 3 and Isla was in senior kindergarten, he walked her to and from Carleton Heights Public School every day, holding her hand. Nobody asked him to. He did it because he was her brother.

Cameron was happiest outdoors. He loved camping and hiking, 4x4ing at a family friend's cottage, and he would never say no to fishing. He loved basketball, and loved to show his older brother, Jack, and his dad how much better he was than them.

He also loved quiet challenges. He spent hours learning the Rubik's Cube, then asked us to time how fast he could solve it. He would sit at the chessboard for hours too, sometimes in silence with his dad.

For all his time alone, Cameron truly loved his family. He cherished every holiday and family celebration — building gingerbread houses at Christmas, and the year he and Isla made their Grammy's birthday hamburger cake from scratch. He was there for all of it.

While Cameron struggled with depression and anxiety for the last eight years of his life, he made strong connections with many people who helped him find happiness, both before and during that time. We will forever be thankful to all his friends and teachers, and especially to Yasin, who kept showing up at the door when Cameron couldn't make his way out.

In the last few months, Cameron also found love with Anna, who brought a light to his life that we will always be grateful for.

Cameron is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Jarrod and Stephanie, and his siblings, Jack and Isla. He was the cherished grandson of Sandra Littlejohn, and of Michael and Hariet Corlett. He will be missed by his uncle Brett and aunt Sarah and cousins Molly and Audrey, and by his aunt Carmen and uncle Ted and cousins Carson, Colvin and Claire.

A celebration of Cameron's life will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, 1-4pm, at the Meadowview Barn, Canada Agriculture and Food Museum (Central Experimental Farm), 901 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa. The celebration of life will begin at 1:30pm with words from the Littlejohn family. Guests are welcome to stay after to connect with friends and family. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone who knew him is welcome; nothing is required but your presence. Paid parking is available on site.

Cameron, you were and always will be loved, and in our hearts.
