Ottawa

Brenda Marie Jean Price, mother to Bridget and Debbi Burns, passed away on November 25th, 2024, after a long battle with Stage 4 liver cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully at the General Hospital in Ottawa, surrounded by her family.

Known for her big heart, loyalty, fierce fight for the underdog, and good laughs, Brenda will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Brenda’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. Brenda was preceded in death by her late husband, William Billy Burns, Her Mother and Father, Cora and Harry Price, and her nephew, Neal Price. She is survived by her sisters Debbie (Wesley), Sandra (Gordon), and Karen, and brothers Micheal (late Ruth) and Marty. Her grandchildren are Jaida, Washington, Dyvine, and Lily. She also has many nieces and nephews and all the people she took as her own, as well as many friends and extended family members. She is also survived by her beloved Peaches and Scarface, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

The family would like to thank the cancer center at the General Hospital, her amazing palliative care team and the occupational therapist who made her last year's peaceful and well supported.

A celebration of life will be held on December 15th, 2024, at Boys and Girls Club 2825 Dumaurier Ave. The family will receive friends there from 1 to 3 p.m. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.
