It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bradley “Brad” Thomas Scott, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on September 5, 2026, at the age of 66.
He is survived by his sons, Ben and Eric; his brother, Charles, and sister-in-law, Rosann; as well as his many close friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Brad was born in North Bay, Ontario, on June 16, 1960. He was the second son of Charlie and Pat Scott. In his early years, the Scott family moved their home and business to Downsview, Ontario. They lived in a lively townhouse community, where Brad learned to swim and skate. In 1968, the family moved to Bramalea, where Brad spent his formative years. It was there that he attended school and formed many of the friendships that would remain an important part of his life.
Most notably, Brad was involved in hockey throughout his childhood. He was an exceptional player who played for the AAA Bramalea minor hockey team.
After high school, Brad attended Sheridan College, where he studied Business and Accounting. This led to a successful career working in manufacturing, leasing, logistics, and financial investments.
Above all, he was a devoted father. He took tremendous pride in raising his two sons, Ben and Eric, and made it a priority to be an active and involved part of their lives. He coached their hockey teams, supported them through every stage of their childhood, and was always there to offer guidance and encouragement.
As his sons grew older, he continued to take great pride in their accomplishments and helped guide them as they built their careers and their lives. He was immensely proud of the men they became. Their burgeoning careers are a testament to his parenting and the guidance he provided throughout their lives.
Brad loved music, sports, golf, and fishing. He liked to laugh and never took things too seriously. You knew that if he walked through the door on any occasion, it was going to be a more enjoyable time, filled with laughter.
He will be remembered for the love and pride he had for his family, the friendships he built throughout his life, and the many memories he created with the people closest to him.
He will be deeply missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
A gathering to celebrate Brad’s life will be held at Osprey Valley Golf Course on September 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Please feel free to bring a story to share about the joy and laughter Brad brought to your life.
