Blanche Sydeh Azar

Blanche Sydeh Azar, 94, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Ottawa. 

Born in Fassett, Quebec on January 6, 1932, Blanche was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who filled our lives with laughter, happiness, love, immense kindness, and patience. 

Blanche was passionate about traveling to warm and beautiful destinations all over the world, holding a special love for cruising on beautiful ships. She was also an incredible cook and loved preparing delicious and special meals with her mother, Malakeh, in their small kitchen on Boulevard Rosemont.

Blanche will be deeply missed by her surviving sister, Liliane Azar; her three nieces, Caroline Johnson, Patricia Azar, and Sylvie Gawad; their spouses; all of her great-nieces and nephews, as well as her great-great-nieces and nephews. 

Her vibrant spirit, love of adventure, and the wonderful recipes she shared will live on in our hearts forever. 

She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever. 

A private service will be held by the family.

Née à Fassett, au Québec, le 6 janvier 1932, Blanche était une sœur, une cousine, une amie et une tante profondément aimée. Elle a rempli nos vies de rires, de bonheur, d'amour, d'une immense gentillesse et d'une patience remarquable.

Blanche laisse dans le deuil sa sœur, Liliane Azar; ses trois nièces, Caroline Johnson, Patricia Azar et Sylvie Gawad; leurs conjoints; ainsi que toutes ses petites-nièces, ses petits-neveux, de même que ses arrière-petites-nièces et arrière-petits-neveux.

La famille tient à remercier le personnel soignant au Centre d'accueil Champlain pour leur compassion et leur dévouement envers Blanche.
