Bernard Ruest passed away on Saturday, March 21 at the Perley Healthcare Centre. 

Bernard (Ben) was born in N.B. then joined the Canadian Armed Forces in the medical corp where in ended his career after 35 years as instructor at the Defence Medical Centre and army Captain.

Bernard leaves his loving wife of 63 years, Edith Power of Atholville, NB; his two sons, Denis (the late Chantal Tremblay), Michel (Danielle Lauzon), eight grandchildren, Mathieu (Monique), Sebastien (Sonia), Jasmine (Osama); Maxime (Pélélope), Alexia (Jérémy), Sonia (Guylain), Jacob (Coralie), Isabelle (Nicolas) and nine great grand children; Levi, Elie, Bentley, Yara, Zachary, Thomas, Maeva, Elyam, Lovic. two brothers from Edmundston, NB Jacques (Gayla) and Gilles and many nephews and nieces. 

Bernard was an avid sportsman, having played hockey, golf, curling, bowling, and also loved watching professional golf, the Montreal Canadiens, and playing bridge.
