Barry Reginald Spalding

Born August 2nd, 1956 Toronto, Ontario passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on August 28th, 2023 in his 67th year of life at The Queensway Carleton Hospital, in Ottawa Ontario. 

 

In his youth, Barry attended Lambton Park Public School and Runnymede Collegiate in Toronto (York).

 

Barry was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, everyone who knew Barry loved him, Barry was one who lived life in a unique way where he always found the beauty in any scenario and had a way of breathing life into any room.  

He was humble, unselfish, fun loving, easygoing, warm hearted and his humour was like no other. 

 

He was an amazing voice of reason and a man with a wealth of knowledge in every sense which he had the pleasure of passing on to his granddaughter, including his love for music. 

 

Barry is survived by his wife of 38 years Dawn Spalding (Kohlmetz), daughter Jessica Spalding and granddaughter Aurora Spalding, sister Heather Stilwell, brother in law Allen Stillwell,  sister Charmaine Sherrard, brother Tom Spalding, brother in law Tim Kohlmetz, sister in law Yvonne Kohlmetz, Barry was a wonderful friend and cousin to many, an uncle/great uncle to The Herd as he called them. 

Barry was the son of the late Reginald Thomas and Marjorie Christina Spalding. 

 

You will live on with us as we remember the incredible love you effortlessly gave us, you will forever be your ladies right hand man and we will continue to cherish the memories we made together. Until we meet again!
