It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Armando Gabriel Ayson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully at his home in Mississauga, Ontario.
Born on May 27, 1955, in Manila, Philippines, Armando was the cherished son of Fortunato and Felicidad Ayson and the eldest of seven brothers. After moving to Canada, he worked as a skilled mechanical assembler and was admired for his dedication, work ethic, and quiet strength.
Known affectionately as Arman, he enjoyed coaching junior and senior basketball, attending the Queen’s Plate, taking long walks at the mall, and spending cherished time with family. Above all, he was a devoted and caring husband, father, and grandfather who valued education and instilled in his children the importance of hard work and perseverance.
Armando leaves behind his loving wife Grace, his daughters Sharmi, Annabelle (Gavin), and Candice, and his beloved granddaughters Isabella and Sinead, and Kobe, his daughter Candice’s dog who was a loyal companion that held a special place in his heart. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers, extended family, and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at https://stjohnsdixie.com/cemetery/live-memorial/.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
Armando will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and devotion to family. His love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
