Ardel William Hickey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ardel William Hickey, who left this world on January 15, 2025, at the age of 67. Ardel was a husband, father, and cherished grandfather, and a trusted friend to many.

 Ardel is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Miller Hickey, who stood by his side through life’s many joys and challenges. He also leaves behind his daughters Valerie, Kim, Jenny, and Tanya, as well as his stepdaughters, Shannon (Mike) and Ashley (Derrick) and many grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his parents, William Francis Hickey and Margaret Johnston, as well as his sister Rowan and brother Danny. He is also survived by his brothers George, Allan, and Leeroy, and his sisters Georgette (Jaques), Nancy, Judy, Christine, and Caroline.

In accordance with Ardel’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to contact a family member for more information about this event.

Ardel William Hickey will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will endure forever.
