Antonia Giovanna Grisoni (née Aviano) March 28, 1946 — May 3, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Antonia Giovanna Grisoni, beloved mother and grandmother, who passed away on May 3, 2026, in Oshawa, Ontario. She was born on March 28 in Visinada, Istria, and in 1964, she made the courageous journey to Canada with her then-husband Stefano, where she built a beautiful life and a family she cherished deeply.
Antonia is survived by her two sons, Daniele (Steven) and John (Ida), and her two beloved grandchildren, Stefano and Giulia.
Antonia had a gift for making life feel warm and full. She loved to sing, delighted in music, reading and knitting, and was known by all who had the privilege of sitting at her table as the best cook around. She was a woman of grace, warmth, and strength, and she was very much loved.
A funeral mass will be held at a date and time to be announced. Further details will be shared with family and friends in due course.
Rest in peace, Antonia. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.

È con profonda tristezza che la famiglia annuncia la scomparsa di Antonia Giovanna Grisoni, amata madre e nonna, venuta a mancare il 3 maggio 2026 a Oshawa, Ontario. Nata il 28 marzo a Visinada, Istria, nel 1964 intraprese il coraggioso viaggio verso il Canada insieme al suo allora marito Stefano, dove costruì una vita meravigliosa e una famiglia che amò profondamente.
Antonia lascia i suoi due figli, Daniele (Steven) e John (Ida), e i suoi due amati nipoti, Stefano e Giulia.
Antonia aveva il dono di rendere la vita calda e ricca di significato. Amava cantare, si deliziava con la musica, la lettura e il lavoro a maglia, ed era conosciuta da tutti coloro che avevano il privilegio di sedersi alla sua tavola come la migliore cuoca di tutti. Era una donna di grazia, calore e forza, ed era immensamente amata.
