In Loving Memory of Anthony (Tony) Harold Cope

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Harold Cope on March 27, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He passed with his family by his side at the Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke, ON.

Born on November 8, 1957, in Toronto, Tony was the son of the late Frederick and Marilyn Cope. He is remembered by his loving partner, Wendy Flewelling, his children Michael (Kaytlin), Katherine (Christopher), Victoria Majdan (Adrian), and his sweet granddaughter, Aurora. He is also survived by his sisters, Patti Ann Morland and Suzanne Giles (Don), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Following his graduation from the University of Western Ontario, Tony embarked on a career that began with his involvement in the family business, followed by a successful career in project management.

A lifelong passionate golfer, Tony was a long time member of the Weston Golf & Country Club where he shared wonderful times with his father, son, and lifelong friends.

Tony had always been an enthusiast of all things aviation. His love for planes took him on many adventures, including a recent bucket list tour of Boeing’s Factory near Seattle, WA.

Tony will be greatly missed by all.

Tony's family would like to thank the staff of Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Sunrise Retirement Living and Dorothy Ley Hospice for their compassionate care. If desired, donations can be made to the Oncology Department of OTMH or The Dorothy Ley Hospice.

A celebration of life will be taking place on Sunday April 26 2026 from 1-4pm.
