Angela Gueco

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Angela Ortiz-Luis Gueco, just shy of her 101st birthday, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Bendale Acres surrounded by her loved ones.

Angela was a kind and loving wife to her soulmate, Jesus Gueco Sr for 74 years, before his passing in 2017. A beloved mother of 7 children, Cristeta Jurado (Reynaldo Jurado), Manuel Gueco, Rolando Gueco (Sylvia Gueco), Melissa Gueco Ritter, Jesus Gueco Jr. (Cecilia Gueco), Carlos Gueco (Gloria Gueco) and Celeste Gueco-Jeethan (Paul Jeethan). She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother of 52.

In her younger years, Angela was a classical pianist; the best Filipino cook ever with specialties like Kilawin, Kare-Kare, Leche plan with dayap; a ballroom dancer, and a Line dance leader, teaching all the dance moves. Always the centre of attention with an array of matching outfits with her husband, Jesus. With an infectious personality, Angela was the life of a party.

SERVICES:

Angela’s memorial service will be held on
Saturday July 15, 2023 at St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium at 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, ON.
Parking is available at the parking lot next to the church. The services are hosted in the chapel in the main building which is a short distance walk north of the church.

VISITATION

Viewing from 1:00PM to 2:00PM
Eulogies during viewing from 2:00PM to 2:30PM

FUNERAL PRAYER

Funeral prayer at 2:30PM to 3:00PM
Novena prayer from 3:00PM - 3:30PM
Immediately concluding the Novena prayer we invite you to say your final goodbyes to Angela and ask that you join us for the reception.

RECEPTION

A Reception with light refreshments will be held in the lower level from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
