Ana Isabel Ponce Nunez “Isabel” “Chave”, 94 years old, from Santiago, Chile, passed away Saturday March 16, 2024 in London, Ontario, Canada.

Daughter of Juan Bautista Ponce and Zunilda Ernestina Nunez, Isabel was one of twelve brothers and sisters, Juan Emilio (Nono), Zunilda (Tina), Luis (lucho), Carlos Eduardo (Lalito), Lucia, Teresa, Fernando, Alejandro (Jano), Cecilia y Patricio (Pato) who she adore and kept on her heart especially in the last years of her life. The memories of a beautiful childhood with them were vivid and the topic of long conversations.

Isabel was truly a force of nature, a free spirit and a determined fighter for the happiness and well being of her family. Her advice will live on in the hearts and minds of her family.

She followed her life partner, Rodolfo, to Peru in a new adventure where they worked hard and built a beautiful life for her two daughters. They also cultivated lifelong friendships in Lima enjoying happy gatherings filled with music and dancing.

In 1989 she took on another adventure and moved to Canada where she belonged to a Fitness club, a Seniors club where she met her best friend Olga (Tota), travelled to many countries with friends, and proudly volunteered for the Mississauga Valley Hospital for 12 years.

For the last 20 months she lived at Grandwood Park Retirement Centre where she enjoyed the company of the other residents and staff, participated in all the physical activities and entertainment, and enjoyed long walks around the residence gardens.

Isabel is survived by her two daughters Marina and Veronica, her sons in law Javier and Luis, five grandchildren Paula, Franco, Pamela, Johnny and Valeria and 10 great grandchildren, Nash, Benjamin, Ever, London, Alyssa, Anthony Jr., Teo, Jio, Odin and Rhea.

Ana Isabel Ponce Núñez “Isabel” "La Chave", de 94 años, de Santiago, Chile, falleció el Sabado 16 de marzo de 2024 en Londres, Ontario, Canadá. Hija de Juan Bautista Ponce y Zunilda Ernestina Núñez, Isabel tuvo diez hermanos, Juan Emilio (Nono), Zunilda (Tina), Carlos Eduardo (Lalito), Luis (Lucho), Lucía, Teresa, Fernando, Alejandro (Jano), Cecilia y Patricio. (Pato) a quienes adoro y llevo en su corazón a pesar de la distancia.

Los recuerdos de una hermosa infancia con ellos estaban latentes en su memoria y eran motivo de largas conversaciones.

Isabel siempre tuvo un espíritu libre, fuerte y lucho por la felicidad y el bienestar de su familia.

Siguió al Peru a su compañero de vida, Rodolfo, en una nueva aventura donde trabajaron duro y construyeron una hermosa vida con sus dos hijas. En Lima cultivaron amistades para toda la vida, disfrutando de reuniones llenas de música y baile.

En 1989 emprendió otra nueva aventura emigrando a Canadá donde descubrio nuevas aficiones, perteneció a un gimnasio, a un club de personas mayores donde conoció a su mejor amiga Olga (Tota), viajó a muchos lugares del Canada y otros países; fue voluntaria en el Mississauga Valley Hospital durante 12 años, lo que la enorgulleció mucho.

Durante los últimos 20 meses vivió en Grandwood Park Retirement Center donde disfrutó de la compañía de los demás residentes y del personal, participó en todas las actividades físicas, entretenimientos y disfrutó de largas caminatas en los jardines de la residencia.

A Isabel le sobreviven sus dos hijas Marina y Verónica, sus yernos Javier y Luis, cinco nietos Paula, Franco, Pamela, Johnny y Valeria y 10 bisnietos, Nash, Benjamin, Ever, London, Alyssa, Anthony Jr., Teo, Jio, Odín y Rhea.
