Allan Marcel Gaumond

February 3, 1956 — December 25, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Allan Marcel Gaumond (February 3, 1956 – December 25, 2025), a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Allan was the loving son of Marcel and Alba Gaumond (both predeceased) and the cherished brother of Dennis Gaumond. Through life’s challenges and difficult times, the brothers supported one another, staying connected through shared stories and family loyalty.

He was an amazing husband to Debbie Elliott Gaumond, his partner, confidant, and best friend. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As a father to Darryl Gaumond and Samantha (Gaumond) McGillis, Allan led by example, teaching his children the value of being present, treasuring both the big milestones and the simple everyday moments, supporting one another through life’s challenges, and loving wholeheartedly.

A loving father-in-law to Justen McGillis for many years and recently Jennifer Gaumond, he welcomed them with warmth into the family he treasured. He took joy in their successes, offered guidance and support when needed, and shared in countless family moments, always making them feel loved and valued as part of his family.

His greatest joy of all came as a grandfather - lovingly known as Papa to Hayden Gaumond, Liam and Landon McGillis. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren: playing with them, watching them grow, cheering them on at their sporting events, and celebrating their milestones, both big and small. Their laughter and accomplishments brought him immense pride and endless joy.

Allan loved life and the simple pleasures it offered. He cherished his time vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, found peace and freedom boating in Port Severn/Georgian Bay, and treasured every moment spent with family. Whether on the water, under the sun, or gathered around the table playing games, he was happiest making memories with the people he loved most.

Above all, Allan was a devoted family man. He gave love freely, encouraged those around him, and created a lifetime of moments that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His warmth, love and steady presence will be remembered always.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Allan’s honor in early spring, details to be provided at a later date. Family and friends will be invited to join together to share stories, laughter, and memories as we celebrate a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan’s memory may be made to support Pulmonary Fibrosis research and awareness, a cause close to the family’s heart.

Allan will be deeply missed, but his love, guidance, and spirit will remain with his family forever - an extraordinary husband, a devoted father, a loving father-in-law, and the most loving Papa.

“Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.”
