Alexander Weir

Dr. Alexander (Alastair) Weir, MB ChB (Glasgow 1964) CCFP, passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit of Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on April 21, 2017 after a long illness with heart disease. He leaves behind wife Ellen, children Rod (Michelle), Aileen (Andrew) and Erica, and grandchildren Brendan, Coleman and Alexandra. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and former patients in Moose Jaw, Oshawa, Toronto and Scotland. A small celebration to commemorate Alastair's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be directed to charities of personal choice.
